I’m journalist and video producer with nearly 20 years of experience in international broadcast news, investigative documentaries, and strategic political communications.

Currently, I lead the video efforts at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft in Washington DC, where we’re dedicated to promoting a more restrained foreign policy and anti-war initiatives.

Before that, I headed the video department at Al-Monitor, a multilingual news website focused on politics and culture of the Middle East.

My journey began at Al Jazeera English, where I wore multiple hats— from nightly newswriter to the channel’s sole White House producer during the pivotal 2011-2012 Arab uprisings, and later, as part of the channel’s documentary investigations unit.

I hold an MA in Arab Studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and an MS in Journalism from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.

In a previous life, I was also a bass player in a band called Moonraker. When I’m not working, you’ll find me playing music and exploring new creative projects.

This website features the most recent examples of my video production work.

Feel free to connect with me if you’re interested in discussing international affairs, video production, or just want to chat about music!
